I'm Nicola, the owner and groomer behind Bridge & Bark Mobile Dog Grooming. With over 10 years of professional experience caring for dogs, I have developed extensive knowledge of canine behaviour, welfare and safe handling across a broad range of breeds, ages and temperaments.
Before becoming a Dog Groomer, I was a Licensed Home Boarding and Daycare provider for more than 8 years. During that time, I was trusted to care for every dog as if they were my own, providing a safe, calm and enriching environment where owners could feel completely reassured. This experience has shaped the way I work as a dog groomer today: patiently, respectfully and always with each dog's welfare as my priority.
I achieved my City & Guilds Professional Dog Grooming qualification in 2024 and continue to invest in my professional development through advanced training, seminars and workshops. This allows me to use current grooming techniques, quality equipment and carefully selected products, while maintaining high standards of professional dog care.
As a proud Poodle owner, I understand that every dog has a different coat, personality and grooming routine. Whether your dog is confident, nervous, young or older, I take time to build trust and understand their individual requirements. My aim is to make every grooming appointment a positive experience, leaving your dog looking their best while feeling comfortable, clean and cared for.
I offer calm, one-to-one dog grooming, with only one dog groomed at a time. This quieter approach is particularly beneficial for nervous dogs, sensitive temperaments and dogs who may find busy grooming environments a little overwhelming.

Yes. I take your dog’s coat type, skin sensitivity and grooming needs when selecting shampoos and conditioners. Please mention any known skin concerns, allergies or product sensitivities during your free consultation so these can be discussed before the groom.
Before your dog’s first groom, I offer an initial phone consultation to discuss their temperament, coat, grooming history and individual requirements. An appointment is then arranged, with each dog receiving calm, personalised one-to-one grooming attention.
With mobile grooming, the grooming salon comes to you. Your dog is groomed in my fully equipped mobile grooming van, parked as close to your property as possible. This means your dog can enjoy a calm, one-to-one grooming experience without the need for a trip to a busy salon or waiting around with other dogs.
Mobile grooming provides a convenient one-to-one service, but having an owner watching can sometimes make a dog more unsettled. For this reason, I may ask you to allow your dog to settle into the grooming environment without additional distractions.
